31 Day Challenge: Day 14 "3D"
Hi there! The challenge theme today is 3D! I decided I wanted to use some pearl rhinestones, and this is what came out! I like it, and the reason why I included the last (slightly strange) picture is to show you what they looked like in action, because in pictures, the accent nails full of rhinestones may have looked a little awkward. I was pleased with how they came out, and they are definitely 3D and eye-catching! What do you think?
[The dark purple polish used in this design is Milani "Rapid Orchid."]

31 Day Challenge: Day 13 "Tape"
Hello! Today the challenge theme was "Tape" and I was looking forward to having a chance to practice such a difficult nail art skill. Though taping is not my favorite skill because of the mess, the patience to let it dry, and the chance for mistakes, that is the point of the 31 Day Challenge! And, as it turns out, if you are patient enough, it might not be so bad! In fact, I was rather happy with how these ended up! What do you think? :D
[The polishes used are Deborah Lippmann "Daytripper" (coral), Orly "Chocoholic" (brown), and OPI "Hot Fun in the Summer-lime (green).]

31 Day Challenge: Day 12 "Splatter Paint"
Well, this was certainly a fun one! The challenge is "Splatter Paint" and it looks super fly! I used one of those small coffee straws to "splatter" the polish onto my nails, and it made a little bit of a mess! However, I think it was definitely worth the resulting awesomeness! :) What do you think?
[The polishes used in this design are Orly "Green With Envy" (teal), Milani "Flaming Race" (pink), Orly "Charged Up" (purple), and Zoya "Pippa" (yellow).]
Thanks for visiting! :D

31 Day Challenge: Day 11 "Geometric"
The challenge theme for today is "Geometric" and I was so excited to try my hand at some intricate geometric designs and patterns. However, I wasn't really happy with how these turned out... I used some Nail Art squeeze pens and they turned out to be quite unruly and a bit hard to use! However, I think it was a good challenge for me using a new medium :)
As a bonus, I found some other designs that I did in February with these nail art pens! They were a gift from one of my best friends!

31 Day Challenge: Day 10 "Lose Your Marbles"
Today the challenge theme is "Lose Your Marbles," or water marbles! I decided to stray from the original use of white as a base, and instead used a pastel pink (Milani Pink Express). There are pros and cons to this technique. As a pro, you can't really tell if the design didn't reach all the way to the edges. However, as a con, the less opaque colors are tainted by having a colored base. I think these turned out well, but I think I'll probably return to the white base for next time :) I added some dots later just to make the design more coherent and intricate! What do you think?
[The polishes used are: Milani "Pink Express" (light pink), China Glaze "Flip Flop Fantasy" (neon hot pink), essie "the more the merrier" (green), OPI "Do You Lilac It?" (purple), OPI "Room for the Blues" (blue), and Sally Hansen "White On."]
As a bonus, I also found a water marble that I think was my second attempt ever!
Improvement is always possible!

31 Day Challenge: Day 9 "Shiny"
Hi! So the challenge theme today is "Shiny," and I chose to use a couple of shimmer polishes! I also wanted to practice my tape skills by making some chevrons! I have seen this color combination a lot this summer (teal and coral) and finally wanted to make use of it. To make the design even shinier, I added a coat of holographic topcoat from Pixie Polish! It's definitely a cute summer color combo and I hope you like it!
[The polishes used in this design are: Color Club "Metamorphosis" (teal) and Zoya "Rica" (coral). The gold accents are American Apparel "Gold Flash."]

31 Day Challenge: Day 8 "Gradient"
Hello! Today the theme is "Gradient," and I decided to start with a base of one of my favorite shimmery duochromes: Orly Synchro! After completing the gradient with a bit of a makeup sponge, I thought it really needed something more, so I began to freehand random designs with black. I started out using acrylic paint and a small brush, but its clumps made it impossible to continue without being able to make straight lines! So I switched back to my trusty Orly Instant Artist, and completed the design. I think it's pretty fun and shiny! What do you think?
[The polishes used in this design are Orly "Synchro" (shimmery pink), O.P.I. "Funky Dunkey" (purple), and American Apparel "Gold Flash" (gold). The black is a combination of acrylic paint and Orly Instant Artist in black.]
